Since 1994, we have offered the highest resolution topographers in the industry. We were the first to offer curvature maps as well as elevation maps while others were limited to simple axial maps.
Our patented alignment system ensures that images are only captured from the exactly proper position in space. Reliable repeatable images are the norm.
We use an optimized Placido cone design to offer complete coverage (0.33-10.7mm) with no shadows to fill in. Other systems using a Placido disk (instead of a cone) must deal with shadows formed by the patient's brow and nose. The result is either a partial map or a map completed with guesswork or peripheral extrapolation to make maps appear larger than they actually are. For example, peripheral extrapolation will turn a 7mm map into a 9mm map. This means that contact lens design, specifically in the 7-9mm zone where the lens touches the cornea, is based upon suspect data.
