Battery Powered Scout
If the idea of taking
the instrument to the patient rather than the patient to the
instrument make sense, the Portable Scout is for you. Its
power comes
from a rechargeable NiCAD battery
attached just below the handle. The supplied docking station serves
as a holder and charger for the Scout.
Image capture with the Scout i is quick
and simple: align the cornea in the LCD screen and click on the acquisition button
on the Scout control panel to capture up to eight images. Capture only occurs at the correct
point in space. Once placed in the docking base,
data is transferred from
the Scout to the
computer's USB port via cable.
